Relaxation Therapy

Patients at Outpatient Services can receive a variety of holistic treatments including relaxation therapy. A technique of relaxation therapy is the use of vibroacoustic therapy.

Vibroacoustic therapy uses sound vibrations to stimulate the mind and body. Patients receive this holistic therapy while lying on the Serenity Lounge. The Serenity Lounge is a special mat that transmits vibrational sounds to the entire body. While lying on the Serenity Lounge, patients listen to vibroacoustic music and sound vibrations through headphones. The combination of the sounds, music and vibrations induces a deep state of relaxation.

Each of our patients has the opportunity to utilize the Serenity Lounge. Here, they can sit back, unwind and enjoy vibroacoustic therapy and relieve their anxiety.

For additional information about vibroacoustic therapy, call us now at (844) 211-7944. Our admissions counselors are available to answer your questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Benefits of Vibroacoustic Therapy

Vibroacoustic therapy relaxes the body, quiets the mind and calms emotions. Many patients experience a transformation after just one session. Some of the benefits of vibroacoustic therapy include:

  • Decreased muscle tension
  • Lower heart rate
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Reduced cravings

Medical professionals use vibroacoustic therapy as a complementary therapy for many health conditions including:

  • Drug addiction
  • Alcohol addiction
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Chronic pain
  • Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

With vibroacoustic therapy, patients will learn how to relax without using mind-altering substances.
