Is Outpatient Services Affordable?
Substance addiction has been on the rise in recent years. In fact, more than 23.5 million Americans are struggling with it today. With so many suitable treatment facilities nationwide, it’s easy to think that the majority of them wind up getting the help they need. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case; only about 10% of people with substance use disorders ever receive proper treatment. There are several reasons for this, but one major factor is affordability. Rehab is an expensive medical necessity, and not everyone has access to it. Thankfully, options like outpatient treatment are much more affordable for patients in need of help.
The Cost of Outpatient Services
The cost of admission into addiction treatment will vary, but most outpatient facilities are far less expensive than inpatient centers. In addition, most outpatient rehabs will help you find ways to afford the services you need. This could be through financial aid, insurance, payment plans, or other financing options.
The most common (and arguably the easiest) way to afford addiction treatment is through insurance. Of course, the amount of insurance coverage you’ll have for treatment depends on which insurance company you use and what the outpatient facility can accept. Thankfully, a wide scope of insurance policies cover addiction treatment, including state-financed, private, and military insurance.
